A web designer creates a fake university site, run from Haryana; probe on | Latest India News


A 34-year-old man has been arrested in Ballabgarh, Haryana for allegedly creating a fake website in the name of a fake university and misleading people into claiming it is the biggest digital university in operate colleges of medicine, engineering, dentistry and agriculture at four sites. in India, officials from the Delhi Police’s Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations (IFSO) unit said on Sunday.

According to the police, the main suspect has been identified as Amardeep Singh, a web designer by profession, who studied up to class 12. The website he created offered more than 5,000 jobs in Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh, for which each candidate had to fill out a form. and deposit 500.

“The website claimed that Vikramshila University is India’s first largest and all-digital university. The university will have a campus of over 500 acres, over 300 innovative programs and four universities in Banka (Bihar), Noida, Mumbai and Kochi,” Malhotra said. The IFSO unit investigated and found the website and its claims to be false. No such university had been approved by the UGC.
