Theft of fuel from private property in New Denmark, New Brunswick
West District RCMP are investigating the theft of a large quantity of fuel, stolen from private property in New Denmark, New Brunswick. Police are asking for the public’s assistance with information related to this incident.
Several gasoline thefts on Christensen Road were reported to members of the Saint-Léonard RCMP on March 6th. The incident reportedly happened on February 6, 2022. Over 1,000 liters of petrol and 800 liters of diesel were stolen in three different incidents.
Timeline of flights
The timeline of the thefts began at 3:30 a.m. on February 6 when an SUV was seen in surveillance footage driving on private property. Later that morning, at 5:30 a.m., a van arrived on the property with a large container in the bed of the truck. Officials believe it was a Honda Civic that arrived on the property around 11:30 p.m. with a woman in the vehicle.

CCTV photos are now being released.
The RCMP is seeking to advance the investigation with information from the public.
The RCMP said “despite the quality of the images, information from the public may help identify individuals or provide additional information to aid the investigation.”
