Ahead of the trial of former Clinton campaign attorney Michael Sussmann, The Epoch Times presents a comprehensive timeline of Sussmann’s activities before and after the 2016 election.

The cybersecurity lawyer is facing a count of lying to the government for allegedly claiming to an FBI official that he was providing information without representing any clients, when in fact he was representing the Clinton campaign.

As a result of the alleged lie, the FBI was at a disadvantage to grasp “the politically charged and ethically heavy nature” of the information, according to special counsel John Durham, who was assigned to review the FBI’s investigation into a alleged collusion. between the Trump campaign and Russia to influence the 2016 election.

The FBI investigation, in part on information provided by Sussmann, found no such collusion.

Sussman joined the Department of Justice in the early 1990s and for 12 years served in several roles, mostly related to the prosecution of cybercrime. He then became a partner at Perkins Coie – a large law firm whose attorneys often represent the Democratic Party – where he advised tech companies primarily on cybersecurity issues such as compliance with government surveillance requests. One of the companies Sussmann advised was Neustar, which provided domain name system services and had access to non-public, proprietary Internet traffic data.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now growing at an almost exponential rate, and we are grateful and delighted! But we must also be practical. For 7 years, we asked for no donations and built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. We have therefore just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask you to take this into account when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and consideration… (TLB)
