WhatsApp recently introduced the Sticker Store in its web interface, allowing users to store a variety of different reactions and images to complement their conversations, WABI reports.

WhatsApp recently took some time despite its busy schedule to update the web interface which is currently gaining a lot of popularity points with the general community and the population. And why not ? WhatsApp Web is honestly one of the most useful parts of the app as a whole. Since much of our working life, as well as our casual life, revolves around this free messaging social media platform, its accessible presence has become a part of everyday life. Office workers and others in general accustomed to working long hours with desktops or laptops need the web-based platform to easily switch between messages and their other tasks, without having to get distracted. by everything a phone offers. WhatsApp Web might not be a crazy original concept, as almost every other mobile platform like Instagram and Snapchat has desktop functionality, but they have a more solid reason to exist than almost any other. Web social media platforms (except maybe Facebook).

A recent addition to the web interface has been the integration of custom stickers into the chat. As almost anyone who uses WhatsApp knows, stickers bring a lot of depth and flavor to a conversation. Of course, they don’t get you thinking about questions about the meaning of life and the like, but they act as quick, succinct reactions that GIFs don’t always cover as well. Best of all, personalized stickers can be made from virtually any image available. These can be used as indoor jokes and the like, with funny photos of your friends and relatives serving as the subject of said sticker. They bring a fun dynamic to the table, that’s it. Now, WhatsApp has chosen to further complement Stickers on Web by adding a new set of purchasable packs.

Here is the thing. Some packs are really beautiful and could be a lot of fun to use. But it is ultimately a decision driven by a profit margin that WhatsApp seeks to exploit thanks to the success of the stickers. The point is, with the custom stickers available, the ones that can be purchased are literally worthless, because anyone with a little spare time and Google Search at their fingertips can basically recreate them, only better.
